Nothing. There are appropriate places and time to express mirth at dark or ugly . Nevertheless, it is often that humor that saves us from complete hopelessness or feeling powerless when there is no other solution.
I totally agree with you. Did you see the list of things some people said not to joke about? George Bush, religion, race, sexuality. I mean those are pretty much the foundation of comedy.
