Cultural note to SUP:
I understand your rationale for eliminating the Basic Level here on LJ, and I actually agree with it.  (GASP!) However, y'all need to understand that you are not dealing with other Eastern Europeans.  Stereotypical Russian bluntness and authoritarianism (which I usually adore) doesn't fly well in American/British cultures where things like civility and prior notification are highly valued.  Get a new PR department that understands these  cultures, ASAP.

LJ'ers:
If you don't like how the management runs the pizza shop, find another one with better pizza.  It's more useful that not ordering the pizza, "just this once."

I fail to see how people who have no monetary value to SUP (basic users,) boycotting LJ for a single day, is going to accomplish anything.  I paid for a permanent membership (an incredible bargain for ad-free Web hosting,) so it's in my best interest for this service to remain financially viable for as long as possible.  It seemed to me that emails and comments to SUP made them admit their folly.  Why not keep the pressure on that front instead?  You can always back up your LJ and archive it as a PDF for posterity, if you want to leave and find a better place.  I haven't, but you are welcome to try.  If this is important to you, more power to you.  However, my interest is not bringing LJ to its knees, it's making sure that my $150 dollars one-time investment + $9 a year domain proved to be a sound expenditure.  I feel that what I am getting from LJ is a bargain, but I will also miss a lot of you should you choose to stop using the service, so be sure to tell me where your new blog is.  More than likely I am already a member.  It just so happens that I chose to pay for LJ.

d00d! you showed up in my dreams last night. It was crazy! You had blond hair that was styled into ringlets and were modelling colonial style dresses in a fashion show. There were also babies galore all over the place! heh heh I was so excited to see you and we hugged and had an awesome chat, which included how sad it was that Miss Andipants couldn't be there. :)

Talk about random. I guess you guys have been on my mind a lot lately ;)

OOH! I wish I had an excuse to dress up like that for a fashion show, and it would be awesome to meet you in person!
