The air smells like pee, but it makes me happy! [Edit]

Today, I feel accomplished and relieved:
Misty O'Brien is currently on sabbatical from VL, but she will absolutely be back sometime in the future, as well as the critically-acclaimed ITAK seasonal anthology. I just spoke to her and she is doing very well.
Naomi Johnson will be taking over Misty's position as Operations Manager. GO GNOMER!
Also Narphy La Mancha will be joining Rasputin Catamite, to help Caylie and Deano and I deal with the heavy weight of the RasputinSpace.
Nik has officially left VAS Littlecrow. due to a major change in his values and in order to pursue a career in teaching and family-friendly illustration. We finally reached an agreement about the fate of The New Adventures of Ace and Bog and I am glad to report that all rights are cleared and the new episodes will return sometime in mid-June... actually because after I confronted him on the fact that he had a girlfriend around the same time that we were having a five-month love affair nearly ended in intercourse. He decided to abruptly pulled his intellectually property rights contribution from a VL Ace and Bog, after I came clean to her. (I might be a whore in an open marriage, but I am definitely NOT a homewrecker, especially when I like the victim.) Since I was too smitten not to demand a signed contract renewal, after he sweet talked me out of it, I had very little recourse. Loki and Misty O'Brien (my second-in-command team) voted to ban Nik from ever doing business with VL again. He was already in hot water for sharing unreleased content with unapproved comics studios and artists for "critiques" several months earlier. Both Misty and Loki, viewed this as absolutely inexcusable and were simply waiting for an opportune time to cut ties with him. I viewed the leaks as the results of him being a naive college student, so I stood up for him. I blamed myself for our personal affair interfering with VL business , and explained that Nik had otherwise served as a good worker. As a conciliatory measure, I hoped to buy out the IP for the Ace and Bog art and get a contract in exchange for VAS Littlecrow publishing of his comic book. He agreed with the proposal on the condition that I removed his name from all the comics, published his comic book and marketed it without a specific timeline or any indication that it was affiliated with VL in any way. His counterproposal was completely unacceptable to Loki and Misty and they would not greenlight the funds unless he could agree to a compromise on paper with deadlines. After several very personally hurtful emails and calls from him when I told him that we needed further negotiation, the upper management of VAS Littlecrow unanimously banned Nik from ever working with us again, on any capacity. We were considering legal action, but because he left the country and was fairly broke at the time, we had no choice but let the matter go. The personal animosity between Nik and I was escalated to the point of me banning him from any sort of private communication that was not conducted face-to-face in a neutral location. If any business obtains a letter of recommendation from Nik written by me, I would like to state that I have since rescinded my recommendation. I hope that Nik has reformed since then, but I won't hold my breath. [Edited on 1/08/09.]
I got a nice letter from the CHIPS, confirming that I will be speaking about my trip through scary addiction hell and back on June 21at. If you are in Center MN around that time, let me know via email and I will tell you about it. I should blog about what it was to be addicted to speed and booze one of these days. It is quite the story.
I learned how to make carbonless forms.
I just learned how to operate the smelly ammonia blueprint copier! I am so happy I could faint (from the smell.)
Well, Loki's lost episodes will be there until mid-June, and the new series will come back. Loki worked on those primarily with the help of Nik and I, so you will be please. So I hope. :)
