| Loki and I are now certain that Samantha is out of our hair for good. We decided it was high time to go through what was left behind. What to keep, what to give and what to chuck, was the name of the game. As we sifted through the ruins of our open adoption experience, something disturbing came to light. When Samantha left, she claimed that she didn't want the things that Loki and I gave to Little Blond, the claim wasn't entirely true..
As we sorted though the things left behind, we noticed that the Barbies, the plushies, most of LB's DVDs, knick knacks,"fun toys" and basic school supplies had been taken. No big deal until we noticed the remenants: All of LB's books (including the ones Gram gave her,) all of the educational placemats (except for the president one,) all of her supplementary workbooks, her synthesizer, the educational DVDs, and all of her art supplies (except for the jewelry making kit that mom took for herself after Christmas over LB's objection.)
I cannot begin to understand the mentality behind this. Too bad screwing a child out of creativity and learning opportunities isn't considered abuse.
I really hope my little baby can make it on her own. I hope that her love for learning and self-improvement never dies. I wish somebody could save her from her own flesh. - Tags:child
